The B.A History & Economics double main course started in 1967. In 1995 history & economics double main was bifurcated and independent B.A degree course with history main was started. The sanctioned student strength in each batch is 60. Pazhassi Club is functioning under the department. |

A Museum and Archives have been set up to commemorate the warrior king of Malabar Pazhassi Raja. The Museum has a collection of laminated photographs, old palm leaf records antiques arms and ammunitions related to Pazhassi struggle. The archives comprises large number of publications providing detailed information against the British. |

Observed the Bicentenary of martyrdom of Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja in a befitting manner. One year long programme was inaugurated by Sri. K.K. Marar an eminent scholar and painter. |
